Winter Meeting
Tuesday, February 24th, 2026, 4:30-6:00pm – Beth Wilson, Hobson School, Naperville –Behaviors that Challenge Us
All behavior has meaning. Join us at Hobson School for an evening of reflective practice and meaningful discussion focused on understanding children more deeply. Together, we will explore the influences behind children’s behavior and examine guidance strategies that support growth—for children and for ourselves.
This workshop will focus on:
- Influences on children’s behavior
- Reframing challenging behavior as an opportunity for growth and understanding
- Reflecting on our own responses and experiences
- Shifting our perspective so we truly see children and the meaning behind their actions
- Guidance strategies for supporting healthy social and emotional development
This session is designed to foster insight, connection, and practical reflection for anyone working with or caring for young children.
Spring Meeting
Saturday, April 25th, 2026, Noon – 4pm – Sean Shaffer, Chicago Park District, Chicago, Tour of Chicago Park District Nature Play Spaces
Hop aboard and see a variety of Nature Play Spaces across the city. These Spaces were designed by Play Experts, the kids in the community. They allow all unstructured play, dramatic play and countless risk-taking challenges while capturing the character of the surrounding neighborhood.
Bussing and carpool will be available.
